SOUTH ROYALTON — Vermont State Police arrested a local woman on multiple charges, including obstruction of justice and possession of cocaine, following a fatal overdose incident on New Year’s Day.

Troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to a report of a drug overdose in South Royalton on Jan. 1.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that 36-year-old Karen Kill had allegedly removed the deceased’s personal effects before police arrived and provided false information to investigators.
