Plympton break-in call leads to OUI arrest

PLYMPTON — A late-night 911 call reporting a breaking and entering on County Road led to the arrest of a Middleboro man on charges including operating under the influence and nighttime breaking and entering, police said Thursday.

The Plympton Police Department received the call at 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, with the homeowner reporting an unknown male intruder.

As the suspect fled toward Kingston in a vehicle, the caller provided a description and partial license plate number.

Officer Broderick located the suspect’s vehicle and, with the assistance of Officer Emberg and Kingston Police officers, conducted an investigation.

The suspect was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and breaking and entering in the nighttime for a misdemeanor.

The Middleboro resident was arraigned in court this morning, following the overnight incident.
