North Haven teen arrested for threats against high school

NORTH HAVEN — North Haven police arrested a 17-year-old Branford resident early Monday on charges related to threats made against North Haven High School.

Detectives executed search warrants at the teenager’s home and vehicle at around 6 a.m., following an incident that occurred last Friday.

The suspect, whose identity has not been released due to their age, faces charges of threatening and breach of peace.

In addition to the charges, the suspect has been trespassed from all Board of Education sites in North Haven.

The police department has not disclosed the nature of the threats but indicated that the investigation is still active.

The North Haven Police Department urges the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
