NORTH BERWICK — A routine traffic stop by North Berwick Police Officer Ashley Sargent led to the arrest of three individuals on drug trafficking charges Saturday.

Sargent pulled over a vehicle on Linscott Road where she noticed signs of illegal drug activity.

A search of the vehicle yielded approximately 45 grams of what appears to be a mix of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and crack, along with over $3,000 in cash.

The three occupants of the vehicle, one female and two males, were taken into custody and charged with aggravated trafficking of drugs.

They have been transported to the York County Jail.

The North Berwick Police Department was assisted in the operation by the York County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to combat drug-related offenses in the area.
