Man arrested in Tolland County sexual assault case after joint police effort

COVENTRY — A man was arrested Monday in connection with a sexual assault that occurred last August in the parking lot of a Coventry commercial establishment.

James Sadlowski, born on July 3, 1992, of no certain address, was taken into custody after a lengthy investigation by Coventry Police, with support from Cromwell and Wolcott Police Departments.

DNA evidence played a crucial role in confirming Sadlowski’s identity as the assailant.

The assault took place in August, with the victim reportedly having met Sadlowski earlier that evening.

Sadlowski is currently being held by the Connecticut Department of Corrections.

Following his arrest, Sadlowski was processed and arraigned at Superior Court in Rockville.

He faces multiple charges including first-degree sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, third-degree assault, and second-degree unlawful restraint.
