Boston police investigate fatal shooting on Blue Hill Ave

BOSTON — At about 4:44 a.m. on April 27, officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Blue Hill Ave and Fremont St. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The victim, later identified as 42-year-old George Deeble of Dorchester, was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.

The department assures that the identities of those who wish to assist anonymously will be protected.
