Windsor man arrested as fugitive from justice in Hartland

HARTLAND — A Windsor man was apprehended late Sunday evening after a routine traffic stop revealed he was wanted in New Hampshire.

Vermont State Police arrested Andrew L. Snide, 43, near 148 US Rte 5 after officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 9:08 p.m. for a vehicle violation.

During the stop, troopers identified that Snide had an active arrest warrant from New Hampshire that allowed for extradition.

Snide was taken into custody without any issues and was later transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.

He is expected to appear in court to address the fugitive from justice charge.

Details on the New Hampshire warrant or the initial motor vehicle violation that led to the traffic stop have not been disclosed.
