Two vehicles totaled in Lyndon collision, one driver hospitalized

LYNDON — A head-on collision on Red Village Road near Black Walnut Lane resulted in two totaled vehicles and minor injuries for one driver, Vermont State Police reported.

The crash occurred at 11:14 a.m. when Joslyn Richardson, 35, of Barre, fell asleep at the wheel of her 2019 Subaru Impreza and struck a 2021 Hyundai KONA operated by Danica Rolfe, 48, of Kirby.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident.

Richardson sustained minor injuries and was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) for treatment.

Rolfe did not report any injuries.

The weather was clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.

Lyndonville Fire Department and Lyndon Rescue assisted the Vermont State Police at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
