Worcester man charged with simple assault against two local residents

WORCESTER — A Worcester man was cited for simple assault after an altercation that injured two people on Saturday night, according to police.

Jacob French, 34, is accused of assaulting two residents of Worcester.

State Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to the incident at 8:11 p.m.

The investigation revealed that French engaged in a physical confrontation with both victims.

The nature of the altercation and the extent of the victims’ injuries were not immediately disclosed by authorities.

French has been issued a citation to appear in court to face the assault charges.

The court date has yet to be announced.
