Man fatally shot in Mattapan, police seek information

BOSTON — A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the Mattapan neighborhood, prompting an ongoing homicide investigation by the Boston Police Department.

At about 4:44 a.m. on April 27, officers from District B-3 responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Blue Hill Ave and Fremont St.

Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

He was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives from the Boston Police Homicide Unit are actively reviewing the incident’s facts and circumstances.
