Driver charged with DUI after single-vehicle crash in Rochester

ROCHESTER — A Rutland man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on Brandon Mountain Road late Saturday night, Vermont State Police reported.

Garrett M. Blanchard, 43, was taken into custody after troopers responded to a call at 11:15 p.m. regarding the incident.

Upon arrival, authorities found Blanchard’s vehicle and noted signs of impairment.

After an investigation, Blanchard was arrested.

Following his arrest, Blanchard was released with a citation to appear in Windsor Superior Court on a later date to face DUI charges, according to officials.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
