WICKFORD — A Central Falls woman turned herself in to authorities Thursday afternoon on charges of counterfeiting and fraud, Rhode Island State Police said.

At 2:30 p.m., troopers arrested Kia Lebron, 24, of 868 Lonsdale Avenue, Apt. #1R, on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Wickford Barracks.

She is charged with two counts of passing counterfeit certificates, bills, or notes, and obtaining money under false pretenses.

The arrest followed an investigation by the barracks, after which Lebron surrendered.

She was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace, then released with a future court date in the Sixth Division District Court.
