Two-vehicle crash in Pittsford leaves cars disabled, no injuries reported

PITTSFORD — A two-vehicle collision occurred on US RT 7 near Marcell Oil Co. on April 26, at about 3:57 p.m., involving local residents Joshua Hayes and Stacia Shaw, according to the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks.

Hayes, 32, was driving his 2002 Honda CR-V northbound when he collided with Shaw, 37, who was also heading north in her 2015 Toyota Corolla.

Shaw was attempting to turn left into a parking lot when Hayes, moving left of the center line, struck the driver’s side of Shaw’s vehicle.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident, and neither sustained injuries.

The vehicles, however, suffered significant damage, with Hayes’s Honda experiencing disabling damage to the front passenger side, and Shaw’s Toyota showing extensive damage to the driver’s side front door.

Authorities report that the weather was sunny and cool with clear, dry road conditions at the time of the crash.

The Pittsford Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service provided assistance at the scene.

The collision led to both vehicles being towed due to the disabling damage incurred.

The Vermont State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
