Pelham reports second fatal crash on Mammoth Road in two days

PELHAM — A second person has died on Mammoth Road in as many days following a serious crash involving two motorcycles and a motor vehicle on April 25.

Authorities were called to the scene near 700 Mammoth Road at about 6:52 p.m., according to the Pelham Police Department.

The first motorcycle was found off the southbound shoulder with the rider ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

The rider of the second motorcycle, found in the northbound lane, suffered severe injuries and was transported to Lowell General Hospital.

The two occupants of the motor vehicle involved, which stopped in the southbound lane shortly after the incident, reported no injuries.

The Hudson Police Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is leading the investigation.

As the investigation continues, Mammoth Road remains closed to traffic between Tenney Road and Jeremy Hill Road.
