PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police made several arrests on Thursday, April 25, following traffic stops and investigations in Providence and Pawtucket.

At 11:48 a.m., troopers apprehended Victor Bigas Esteras, 38, of Providence, on a bench warrant for failing to appear for an arraignment related to a charge of driving without a license, which would have been his fourth or subsequent offense.

The charge originated from the Wickford Barracks.

Esteras’s capture followed a vehicle stop on Admiral Street in Providence.

He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later appeared in the Third Division District Court for arraignment.

In a separate incident, at 1 p.m., Jolene Conti, 49, also of Providence, was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant.

Conti faces charges of larceny greater than $1,500, receiving stolen goods exceeding $1,500, and conspiracy.

The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation and was facilitated by Conti being located by the Pawtucket Police Department.

After processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, Conti was arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court.

Later in the evening, at 10:17 p.m., Cristiano Pereira, 36, of Pawtucket, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs with an unknown blood alcohol content, marking his second offense, and for refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Pereira was stopped on Lonsdale Avenue in Pawtucket, processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
