Springfield man cited for retail theft at Dollar General

SPRINGFIELD — A local man has been cited for retail theft after allegedly stealing items from a Dollar General store, Springfield police said Wednesday.

Officers responded to a call at approximately 11:13 a.m. on April 18, after two male subjects were reported to have taken merchandise from the Dollar General located at 236 River Street.

The suspects were found in a nearby McDonald’s parking lot.

Following an investigation, Brandon Heist was found to allegedly possess the stolen items.

Heist has been issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on June 11 to respond to the charge.
