EAST HAMPTON — After a four-month investigation, local police have arrested a man in connection with a teenager’s overdose last December.

The East Hampton Police Department responded to a call on Dec. 20 regarding a medical emergency involving a 16-year-old.

The incident was later classified as an overdose, prompting a criminal probe.

Authorities announced Wednesday the arrest of Ryan Roussel, 35, of East Hampton, on charges of first-degree reckless endangerment and illegal distribution of a controlled substance.

According to the investigation, Roussel allegedly supplied the juvenile with marijuana, cocaine, and alcohol, leading to the overdose.

Roussel was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior Court on April 30.
