Rutland man arrested for fentanyl possession after traffic stop

RUTLAND — A traffic stop late Saturday night led to the arrest of a local man for possession of fentanyl, according to the Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the Rutland Barracks stopped a vehicle on West Street at approximately 11:58 p.m. for a violation.

During the stop, they observed signs of drug activity and obtained consent to search the driver, identified as 34-year-old Keenan Davine of Rutland.

The search revealed that Davine was in possession of fentanyl.

He was arrested and taken to the Rutland Barracks for processing.

Following the procedure, Davine was released on a citation to appear in Rutland County Superior Court to respond to the charge of fentanyl possession.

Additionally, a passenger in the vehicle, Jason Ketcham, also 34, was discovered to have an outstanding warrant.

Ketcham was arrested and transported to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility, where he was held without bail.
