Teen escapes injury in Irasburg single-vehicle crash

IRASBURG — A single-vehicle accident occurred near 2265 Vt Route 5 on April 19, with the driver walking away without reported injuries.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene at approximately 3:27 p.m. after receiving reports of a crash.

Officials found a 2020 Honda Civic in the southbound ditch, exhibiting significant front-end damage and deployed airbags.

The operator, a 19-year-old from Newport Center, was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The driver refused EMS care and did not show any visible injuries.

Greniers Towing was called to remove the damaged vehicle from the scene.

The weather was cloudy, but the road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Vermont State Police.
