Springfield man cited for trespass, theft at Shaw’s Supermarket

SPRINGFIELD — A local man was cited on charges of unlawful trespass and retail theft following an incident at Shaw’s Supermarket, police reported.

Brandon Heist is accused of stealing items and violating a no-trespass order at the supermarket located in the Springfield Plaza on April 10.

Officer Singleton of the Springfield Police Department responded to the call at approximately 11:43 a.m. on the day of the incident.

After an investigation, Heist was positively identified as the individual who had trespassed and taken items from the store.

He was later located and issued a criminal citation.

Heist is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on June 11 to respond to the charges.

The police clarified that matters regarding bail or incarceration are handled by the judicial system, which includes judges, court clerks, and the state attorney’s office.
