New Haven police investigate Trowbridge Square Park shooting

NEW HAVEN — A man was shot in Trowbridge Square Park late Wednesday night, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.

At approximately 10:33 p.m., officers were dispatched to the park near the corner of Cedar Street and Carlisle Street following a ShotSpotter alert and a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they found a 35-year-old city resident with a gunshot wound.

Emergency medical responders transported the victim to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

New Haven detectives arrived on scene to question the victim and conduct a thorough search of the area for evidence and potential witnesses.
