FAIRLEE — A local man was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly assaulting another individual on US Route 5 North.
Vermont State Police responded to a report of an assault at 4:46 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, officers conducted an investigation which led to the apprehension of Benjamin Gray, 52, of Bradford.
The victim, Tyler Hoisington, 33, from Piermont, New Hampshire, reported that Gray had caused him physical pain during the altercation.
Following the incident, Gray was taken into custody and processed at the Bradford State Police Outpost.
He was later released with a citation to appear in Orange County Criminal Court on May 29 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges for simple assault.
