Teen arrested in multi-state robbery spree in North Haven

NORTH HAVEN — North Haven police today announced the arrest of a 17-year-old Massachusetts juvenile in connection with a series of armed robberies, including a January 14 hold-up at a Washington Avenue gas station.

After a collaborative investigation with several law enforcement agencies, including Berlin PD, Fairfield PD, Manchester PD, Connecticut State Police, and the FBI’s New Haven field office, detectives identified the Marlborough teen as the suspect in multiple robberies across Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Authorities located the suspect in Massachusetts and charged them as a Fugitive from Justice.

The juvenile waived extradition rights and was transported to the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center, where they faced arrest warrants from multiple jurisdictions.

For the North Haven robbery, the juvenile faces charges of First Degree Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery in the First Degree, and Sixth Degree Larceny.

They remain in custody at the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center and are scheduled for arraignment later today.
