SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield woman was arrested on multiple drug possession charges after a traffic stop revealed she had heroin, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and other narcotics, police said Thursday.

Darcy Johnson was taken into custody on April 11 at 2:48 p.m. following a vehicle stop for a motor violation on Union Street near Spring Street.

The stop occurred after the vehicle was observed leaving a residence known for drug activity.

Officers Singleton, Perkins, and Franchi conducted a search of Johnson and the vehicle, which led to the discovery of the illegal substances.

She was arrested without incident and processed at the Springfield Police Department.

Johnson has been issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on June 11 to face the charges.

Authorities emphasized that the police department does not determine bail or incarceration, as those decisions fall under the jurisdiction of the judicial system, including judges, court clerks, and the state attorney’s office.
