South Windsor man arrested on failure to appear warrants

SOUTH WINDSOR — Kewan H. Smoot, 25, was arrested by the South Windsor Police Department on Wednesday night for failing to appear in the second degree.

Officers responded to a medical assist call at a residence around 8:44 p.m.

During the incident, it was discovered that Smoot, who had called for medical help, had two active warrants for his failure to appear in court.

Smoot was taken into custody without incident, processed, and later released on a total bond of $750.

He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on April 30 at 9 a.m.

Sergeant Mark Cleverdon, the Public Information Officer for the South Windsor Police Department, released the information through the department’s social media.
