FRAMINGHAM — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Chief of Police Lester Baker announced the identification of Brooks Hood, 27, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, as the victim in a suspicious death investigation from April 10.

The ongoing investigation, which has engaged the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Framingham Police, and State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, was prompted by the discovery of Hood’s body earlier this month.

As the case unfolds, officials are awaiting a report from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.

While the circumstances surrounding Hood’s death remain unclear, authorities assure that further information will be disclosed to the public as it becomes available.
