Woman arrested for DUI, disorderly conduct after roadside altercation in Newbury

NEWBURY — A local woman was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and disorderly conduct following a roadside incident on April 14.

Vermont State Police responded to a call of an altercation at the intersection of Bible Hill Rd and US RT 5 at 2:14 p.m.

According to the authorities, Natalie Woodward, 39, of Newbury, approached a vehicle that was pulled over and engaged in tumultuous and threatening behavior.

Woodward was later found driving on US RT 5.

Upon stopping her, officers observed signs that she was intoxicated.

She was taken into custody and transported to the State Police barracks for processing.

After her release, Woodward received a citation to appear in Orange County Court to face the charges against her.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
