WILLIAMSTOWN — Vermont State Police arrested a local resident on numerous charges, including possession of narcotics and stolen property, following a search warrant executed on Beckett St. on April 16.

Dana Patten, 47, was taken into custody after authorities discovered a large quantity of suspected crack cocaine, heroin, and an illegal firearm in the residence.

The search was part of an investigation into a theft reported on April 14, involving victim Anthony Matarazzo, 36, also of Williamstown.

In addition to the drug and stolen property charges, Patten was cited for Violation of Conditions of Release.

Police also confirmed that Patten had two outstanding arrest warrants for failing to appear in court on charges related to fentanyl trafficking, possession of depressants/stimulants/narcotics, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

Following the arrest, Patten was transported to the Northeast Correctional Facility to await a court appearance in VT Superior Court, Orange County.
