SPRINGFIELD — Springfield Police Department arrested Cachina Cox on an in-state warrant Saturday after locating her at a Valley Street residence.

Officers Guzzo and Singleton responded to a tip around 12:30 p.m. that Cox was at the address.

By 1:00 p.m., they had arrived on the scene, and Cox emerged from the residence at approximately 1:30 p.m., where she was taken into custody without any issues.

Cox has been ordered to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on April 15 to respond to the arrest warrant.

Following her arrest, she was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility with the option of posting $2,000 cash or surety bail.

The Springfield Police Department clarified that decisions regarding bail and incarceration are determined by the Judicial System, which includes judges, court clerks, and the State Attorney’s Office, and not by the police.
