Norwell police seek hit-and-run driver after morning crash

NORWELL — Officers from the Norwell Police Department responded to a hit-and-run accident on Main Street near the intersection of May Elm Lane and Winter Street at 7:21 a.m. today.

According to authorities, an unknown vehicle, described as a silver sedan with expected heavy front-end damage, was traveling from the Bridge Street area toward the center of Norwell when it collided with another vehicle.

After the impact, the silver sedan continued into a fence on Main Street before fleeing the scene.

The Norwell Police Department reported damage to both the struck vehicle and the fence.

Officers are now seeking assistance from the public in locating the silver sedan involved in the incident.
