Newfound Regional High School student bitten by dog during track practice

BRISTOL — A Newfound Regional High School student was bitten by a German shepherd while participating in track and field practice today at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to the Bristol Police Department.

Authorities report that a man was seen playing with three dogs near the track area but left the scene before he could be approached for information.

Witnesses described the man’s vehicle as a white GMC crew cab pickup truck.

The Bristol Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the dog owner.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police are interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in the vicinity at the time of the incident.
