Driver arrested for DUI, leaving accident scene in Whitingham

WHITINGHAM — Vermont State Police apprehended a 22-year-old Readsboro man on April 16 after he attempted to flee from the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 100.

Adien Bimmler was detained by officers from the Dover Police Department who were assisting state troopers in managing the accident area.

The incident occurred around 7483 VT Route 100.

Bimmler exhibited signs of intoxication and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI, along with charges of leaving the scene of an accident and negligent operation.

He was processed at the Westminster Barracks and released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on May 7 at 8:30 a.m.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the crash.
