BOSTON — Three individuals were arrested early Tuesday by officers from the Boston Police Department’s District B-2 after a disturbance call led to the recovery of firearms and crack cocaine.

At about 12:15 a.m., on April 16, police responded to reports of loud music at Mount Pleasant Avenue in Roxbury.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a large group outside 39 Mount Pleasant Avenue.

One male was seen grabbing his waistband suspiciously, while another quickly walked away, appearing to adjust something at his waist.

As police exited their cruiser, one suspect fled on foot, prompting a chase.

The individual was seen discarding an item behind a vehicle before being captured at 25 Greenville Street.

A firearm was found beneath the vehicle.

Meanwhile, officers observed another suspect throw an object under a parked car.

Approaching the individual, they discovered a bag containing what appeared to be drugs.

This suspect was detained without incident.

The third individual was frisked by officers who suspected a concealed weapon.

Despite resistance, the suspect was handcuffed, and a firearm with an extended magazine was seized.

The retrieved weapons included a Smith & Wesson and a stolen Glock 19, each with a round in the chamber and multiple rounds in their magazines.

The substances found were confirmed to be approximately 22 grams of crack cocaine.

Kevin Vandergrift, 19, of Brighton, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as possession of a large capacity feeding device.

He is scheduled for arraignment in Roxbury District Court.

Jaileen Joseph, 20, of Roslindale, faces charges of trafficking class B drugs and will also be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The 17-year-old juvenile male was charged with multiple firearm and ammunition offenses, including receiving stolen property over $1,200.

His arraignment is set for Boston Juvenile Court.
