Wilton juvenile arrested for aggravated assault at local park

WILTON — In response to an assault report at Kineowatha Park on High Street, the Wilton Police Department arrested a 15-year-old juvenile for aggravated assault, a Class B felony, on April 15 at approximately 5:58 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the park and were informed en route that the juveniles involved in the assault had fled the scene on foot.

The department’s officers located three of the juveniles shortly after, running through nearby backyards and wooded areas to evade police.

Following a brief search, the officers found and interviewed the juveniles at a residence within the Wilton Mobile Park.

The 15-year-old, who was under juvenile probation for previous offenses along with another involved party, was taken into custody and is being held at the Long Creek Youth Development Center.

The Wilton Police Department has stated that the investigation is still active and ongoing.
