Man stabbed in leg in Putnam, police seek information

PUTNAM — A stabbing incident on the morning of April 14 left a 24-year-old man injured, according to the Putnam Police Department.

At about 8:23 a.m., emergency dispatchers received a 911 call about the stabbing at the intersection of Florence Street and Farrows Street.

Officers responded to the scene and initiated an investigation, which determined the man had been stabbed in the leg.

His injuries were not life-threatening.

Putnam Emergency Medical Services provided aid at the scene and transported the victim to Day Kimball Hospital for further treatment.

Early findings suggest the stabbing was an isolated incident, with indications that the suspect and victim were acquainted.

The investigation is currently ongoing, and police have not released further details.
