Durham police report rash of thefts from unlocked vehicles

DURHAM — A spree of thefts from unlocked and unsecured vehicles parked in public areas has prompted the Durham Police Department to urge residents to secure their vehicles and remove valuables.

On Tuesday, police responded to multiple reports of theft from parked vehicles, with numerous personal items stolen, likely during the overnight hours of Monday to Tuesday.

The incidents occurred in the Technology Drive area.
