Braintree man arrested for aggravated domestic assault, child present

BRAINTREE — A local man was arrested late Monday night on charges of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and committing an offense in the presence of a child, according to Vermont State Police.

Ethan Tanner, 27, was taken into custody following a domestic disturbance at a Sesame Street residence.

Troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to the incident at approximately 9:47 p.m.

The investigation revealed that Tanner caused fear of bodily injury to a household member.

The Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.

After processing at the Royalton Barracks, Tanner was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.

He is being held on $5,000 bail.

Tanner is scheduled to appear before the Orange County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on April 16 at 12:30 p.m.
