COVENTRY — A 36-year-old Troy woman was arrested Sunday evening after attempting to elude police during a traffic stop, authorities said.

At 6:53 p.m., a state trooper pulled over Shannon Wrabel on Coventry Station Road for a motor vehicle violation.

During the stop, it was revealed that Wrabel had an outstanding arrest warrant.

As troopers tried to take her into custody, Wrabel fled in her vehicle, leading to a brief pursuit.

She subsequently crashed her car and was taken into custody without further incident.

Wrabel faces charges of eluding police and gross negligent operation of a vehicle.

She was transported to Northern State Correctional Facility in relation to the warrant.
