Newbury man arrested on multiple warrants in Ryegate

RYEGATE — On April 13 at approximately 3 p.m., Vermont State Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks apprehended Timothy Kearney, 32, of Newbury, following a search for the wanted individual.

Acting on a tip, troopers located Kearney at a private residence on Whitelaw Road.

Kearney was sought for four active arrest warrants that included a range of charges such as false information to a police officer, driving with a suspended license, multiple counts of reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, unlawful trespassing, violations of an abuse prevention order, conditions of release, and aggravated disorderly conduct.

The arrest was conducted smoothly and without any incident.

Kearney was subsequently transported to the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility where he will be held pending further legal proceedings.
