Driver faces DUI, drug possession charges after erratic driving in Bradford

BRADFORD — A Lyndonville man was arrested early April 12 after police said they caught him driving under the influence and in possession of narcotics.

Vermont State Police and Bradford Police Department officers observed a vehicle driving erratically on Route 25, near South Main Street around 12:07 a.m., according to authorities.

The vehicle, which was heading westbound, was reportedly on the wrong side of the road and crossing over the white line.

Police said the driver, identified as 36-year-old Andrew Davis, failed to make his intended turn and was stopped by troopers.

Upon initiating contact, Davis exhibited several signs of impairment and was subjected to standard field sobriety tests, which he did not pass.

During the investigation, Davis was found to be in possession of narcotics.

He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

Davis is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court on June 7 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges of DUI- Drugs, Possession of Narcotics, and Grossly Negligent Operation.
