Portsmouth police seek help identifying suspect in Temple Israel vandalism

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Police Department is calling for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest linked to an act of vandalism at Temple Israel on State Street.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on April 8 at around 8:30 p.m. when an individual was caught on camera damaging two lamps adorned with the Star of David.

The act has been classified as Criminal Mischief.

Police have released images of the suspect and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
