PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating a rash of vehicle thefts after receiving reports of five cars being taken without consent over recent days.

Authorities have identified Anthony Bizzocchi as a person of interest in connection with several thefts outside Portsmouth.

A photo released by the department shows an individual believed to be involved in one of the thefts within the city.

The police urge residents to secure their vehicles by locking doors and not leaving keys inside.

The department has an open and active investigation and promises to provide updates as more information becomes available.

Portsmouth Police have collaborated with other local agencies in the investigation and are calling on the community for assistance.
