Third man nabbed in Clarkson Street shooting, hit with gun charges

WORCESTER — In a coordinated effort with multiple law enforcement agencies, Worcester Police apprehended an 18-year-old man wanted in connection with the April 7 Clarkson St shooting.

Carter Webster was arrested on April 10 at approximately 1:10 p.m. after police spotted him heading toward a vehicle on Grafton St. Despite attempting to flee upon police approach, Webster was quickly detained.

During the arrest, a struggle ensued, and officers discovered a handgun in Webster’s waistband.

It was determined that Webster did not possess a license to carry firearms.

Webster now faces multiple charges including Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License (2nd or Subsequent Offense), Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, in addition to the warrant for the shooting on Clarkson St.
