New Hampshire man arrested for cocaine sale in Rutland

RUTLAND — A New Hampshire man turned himself into authorities and was arrested on April 8 for a drug violation stemming from a former investigation.

Anthony Zona, 34, of Boscawen, New Hampshire, was taken into custody by the Vermont Drug Task Force at the Vermont State Police barracks in Rutland.

Zona faced an arrest warrant for a single count of the sale of cocaine related to a 2021 drug investigation in Rutland City.

Following his surrender to the police, Zona was processed at the barracks and subsequently transported to the Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division, for arraignment.

He was released on conditions pending further legal proceedings.

The Rutland County State’s Attorney’s Office is prosecuting Zona.

As the investigation continues, the Vermont State Police urge anyone with information to come forward.
