Vernon woman arrested on multiple charges after suspicious activity spotted

VERNON — A 26-year-old Chesterfield, New Hampshire, woman was arrested on a warrant Tuesday afternoon following a Vermont State Police patrol that spotted suspicious activity.

Heather Cobb was taken into custody around 4:29 p.m. on Fort Bridgman Road after troopers investigated a wooded area and discovered she had an active warrant for her arrest.

Cobb is facing charges that include Resisting Arrest, Possession of Cocaine, Burglary into an Occupied Dwelling, Petit Larceny, and Possession of Stolen Property.

The arrest occurred without incident, and Cobb was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.

She was lodged on $200 bail and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on April 10 at 12:30 p.m.

The Vermont State Police received assistance from the Brattleboro Police Department and the Windham County Sheriff’s Office during the operation.
