South Windsor man arrested on larceny, conspiracy charges

SOUTH WINDSOR — A local man was arrested Tuesday after attempting to steal merchandise from a Lowes home improvement store, according to South Windsor Police Department officials.

John S. Harker, 30, of Manchester, was taken into custody around 5:54 p.m. after Loss Prevention Personnel at the Lowes located at 31 Buckland Hills Drive reported a larceny in progress.

The stolen items, two sink faucets valued at $240, were recovered outside the store.

Harker, who was identified by the Loss Prevention Personnel, also had an active arrest warrant for a similar incident that occurred at the same Lowes in February.

He was charged with two counts of larceny in the 6th degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the 6th degree.

Following his arrest, Harker was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

He was then turned over to the custody of the Meriden Police Department, which also held an active warrant for his arrest.

Harker is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on April 24 at 9 a.m.
