Woman arrested on domestic assault charges in Clarendon

CLARENDON — A 51-year-old woman from Clarendon was arrested on charges of domestic assault and violating conditions of release, Vermont State Police said.

Troopers responded to a report of domestic disturbance on Boynton Drive at approximately 4:09 p.m. on April 6.

The investigation revealed that Joy M. Bruno allegedly caused bodily injury to a family member.

Bruno had left the scene before authorities arrived but was later apprehended during a traffic stop.

Following her arrest, Bruno was processed at the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks and then transported to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.

She was held on $2,500 bail.

Bruno is set to appear before the Rutland County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on April 9 at 12:30 p.m.
