Springfield K9 aids in seizure of 4 kilograms of cocaine

CHICOPEE — On Thursday, April 4, a coordinated effort between the Springfield Resident Office DEA Task Force, Massachusetts State Police CINRET West, Springfield Police, and the United States Postal Inspection Service led to the seizure of approximately four kilograms of cocaine following a traffic stop on the Mass Pike Entrance ramp at the end of I-291.

Springfield Police Department’s K9 Flexx played a crucial role in the operation, discovering the cocaine during a vehicle search.

The seizure is part of an ongoing investigation by the Springfield Resident Office DEA Task Force.

As the investigation remains active, authorities have stated that no additional information can be disclosed at this time.
