ROCHESTER — A male suspect robbed the Hannaford pharmacy on Milton Rd. around 7 p.m., displaying a handgun and demanding prescription medication, authorities said.

The Rochester Police Department reported that the pharmacist complied with the suspect’s demands and no injuries occurred during the incident.

The male suspect then exited the store.

At around 10 a.m. this morning, Rochester Police responded to a call reporting a male near the Department of Transportation (DOT) shed off the Spaulding Turnpike Connector who matched the description of the suspect involved in a robbery at Hannaford pharmacy the previous evening.

An active warrant had been issued for Ryan Wilkinson, 41, of Farmington, following the incident at the grocery store’s pharmacy.

Upon arrival at the DOT shed, officers located the individual and confirmed his identity as Wilkinson.

Wilkinson was arrested based on the outstanding warrant, which charges him with robbery.

He was subsequently transported to Strafford County Jail.

Wilkinson is scheduled to be arraigned at 11 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, April 10, in Strafford County Superior Court.
