Quechee woman charged with DUI after wrong-way incident on I-89

SHARON — Vermont State Police arrested a local woman early Tuesday morning after she was reportedly driving the wrong direction on Interstate 89.

Troopers received a report at approximately 12:46 a.m. of a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes near mile marker 17.

The vehicle, driven by Allison Roth, 56, of Quechee, was stopped by police at mile marker 14.

An investigation by the Royalton Barracks officers concluded that Roth was operating the vehicle under the influence.

She was taken into custody and charged with DUI and gross negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Roth was released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on April 30 at 8 a.m. to respond to the charges.
